Dominic Cooper Will Play Howard Stark in Agent Carter

Marvel's Agent Carter has just added another familiar face as Dominic Cooper
(Need for Speed) is set to reprise his role as Howard Stark in the upcoming series, coming to ABC in 2015!

From Marvel:

Cooper first played Tony Stark’s father in Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” before returning for a cameo at the end of “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter,” and now Cooper will reunite with star Hayley Atwell for “Marvel’s Agent Carter."

"Marvel's Agent Carter," starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell, follows the story of Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life--Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," along with the short "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter."

Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, Chad Michael Murray as SSR Agent Jack Thompson, Enver Gjokaj as SSR Agent Daniel Sousa, James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, and Shea Whigham as SSR Chief Roger Dooley, "Marvel's Agent Carter" was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Executive producers are Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Chris Dingess, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb.

"Marvel's Agent Carter" is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

Very exciting news for Marvel fans! Look for Agent Carter to hit ABC this coming year!

S.H. MonsterArts Gamera - Images & Info

Tamashii Nations have revealed the next addition to the popular MonsterArts line - Gamera. Last week, we showed a teaser image of the upcoming kaiju figure, but now, a new batch of images and information have been released.

     Check it out!

Based on his appearance in the 1996 Heisei series movie Gamera 2: Advent of Legion, this iconic monster features a stunning sculpt, and loads of articulation for plenty of posing options. The figure can be displayed in a standing or flying pose, thanks to an included figure stand. Accessories will include a fireball effect, a fire display base, figure stand, and interchangeable flight pieces. The chest can even be opened up to simulate his plasma attack!

MonsterArts Gamera will stand about 5.5" in height and is slated for release, in Asia, this January, for  9,504 Yen (about $89 USD). No word yet on when the figure will see a North American release, but as soon as Bluefin drops the word, we'll be sure to let everyone know!

For now, enjoy the images of this awesome piece mirrored below...

Deathstroke Will Return To Arrow

Season 2 of Arrow pitted Oliver Queen against one of the deadliest men in the DC Comics universe - Deathstroke. Also known as Slade Wilson, the assassin ended up imprisoned within the A.R.G.U.S. Super-Max facility come season's end, yet Manu Bennett hints that fans have not seen the last of him.

Again, Wilson ended up behind bars come the end of Season 2, but he was still breathing, and was holding one hell of a grudge against Oliver Queen. “Realistically," Bennett said, when speaking with ComicBook.com, "when we talk about storyline, they threw me into a really interesting place: Purgatory. You know, I’m left at the end shaking the bars, going ‘I keep my promises, kid.’ And I think I meant it."

So, does this mean Slade Wilson's story is finished? Bennett certainly doesn't seem to think so. "So," he continues, "I don’t think that they are just going to let that voice subside into the vast abyss… But at this stage, I don’t know. They said at the end of the season last year, they said: ‘Look, we want you back. We want you back.’ But there’s been no indication yet of how they’ll go about that at any point in time, right now.”

Honestly, with the way things started shaping up during Season 2 of Arrow, it really isn't all that hard to see how Wilson could be re-introduced. The writers have already introduced Amanda Waller and her team of hardened criminal operatives known as the Suicide Squad, so having Wilson return in service to Waller would certainly be in line with the comic books.

In any case, it is clear the powers that be behind Arrow clearly have a plan for Slade Wilson.

Season 3, which premieres Wednesday, October 8th, will return the show to a more grounded approach, featuring fewer superpowers. Bennett will be handing the reigns over to Matt Nable, who has been cast as the big baddie for Season 3 - Ra's al Ghul, the leader of the League of Assassins. Arrow's version of the character is said to be more comic booky than the version portrayed by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins, and Bennett supports Nable's casting as the iconic DC Comics villain.

That's all well and good, but we can't wait to see Slade Wilson return to Starling City once again!

Shatner Confirms Star Trek 3 Cameo Offer

Earlier this week, we reported that a scene had been scripted for Star Trek 3 that would bring both William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy back to the big screen as Kirk and Spock for the first time since 1991. Despite reports, however, both Shatner and director Roberto Orci have claimed this is all a rumor.

Now, however, it appears as though Mr. Shatner is singing a different tune. Earlier today, while in attendance at the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, the actor revealed that a cameo role for the next Star Trek film has indeed been offered to him.

Apparently, the role was presented to him by J.J. Abrams, who will be passing the torch on to self-proclaimed Trekker Roberto Orci, who told him: “I’m calling because the director of Star Trek, the next movie, has had an idea where you might be involved, so I’m calling to find out whether you would be interested.

"It’s all over the Internet that the director had held an interview and said they want Shatner and Nimoy to be in the next movie," Shatner added. "I’ll bet you J.J.’s frothing at the mouth at this point. So the news is out that they have an idea that they want Leonard and myself…they might want Leonard and myself in it. But I would love to do it. But how do you get me fifty years later into the movie? I mean how do you rationalize it. I know it’s science fiction, but even I couldn’t come up with an idea. So that’s the news on that.”

Interesting, to say the least. Again, Star Trek 3 will probably not be hitting theaters until some time in 2016, so things could change. But, at least for now, there appears to be a little more hope that Kirk and Spock will reunite on the big screen once more!

Star Wars: Episode VII To Feature Chrome Stromtroopers

For months now, we have been hearing rumors of possible black and chrome clad Stormtroopers possibly appearing in Star Wars: Episode VII, but other than that, things have been pretty tight-lipped - until now!

New images have leaked, new images featuring our first look at the rumored chrome clad Stormtroopers to be featured in the upcoming film! Take a look below...

Quite imposing, no? Nice to see a design that doesn't stray too far from the original look of the character, but that is still fresh and new in appearance. Rumor suggests these new chrome soldiers are part of a private security force for Adam Driver's character in the film.

States Indie Revolver:

"A couple sources have expressed that the chrome troopers are a private security force for Adam Driver’s character – silver mercenary rent-a-cops rather than true Imperial Forces for Adam Driver’s character. While we’ve not heard this from anyone directly, the most abundant rumor about Driver is that he’s a wealthy aristocrat with an interest in Sith artifacts."

Sith artifacts, huh? Now that is interesting!

What do you guys think of these new chrome Stormtroopers?
