The cast and crew of Star Trek Beyond took part in a press conference today to discuss the filming of scenes in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai has been used as a filming location for several recent films including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Furious 7.

This is not just the third of three movies, but has a new, refreshing twist, and Dubai's great visuals really fit the story."

Apparently two hundred extras will be on hand for scenes to be filmed over the next two weeks around Dubai and in studio space.

Chernov was also joined at the press conference by Justin Lin and co-stars Simon Pegg and Karl Urban.

Ridley Scott Reveals More Alien: Paradise Lost Details

Yahoo! Movies recently spoke to director Ridley Scott while doing a press junket for his upcoming Matt Damon sci-fi flick, The Martian. Talk eventually moved on to Alien: Paradise Lost, and the director was more than willing to share a few new details about the highly anticipated project.

Said Scott when asked about the direction the Prometheus sequel would take: "...Have you ever read Paradise Lost, by Milton? In a funny kind of way, it’s an interesting basis for the darkness of [Prometheus 2]. Where the good-looking guy, who is evil as s–t, gets all the girls and goes to the nightclubs. The other guy, who is not quite as good-looking, is boring as hell and stays home. So in a funny kind of way, we used that as the basis for it, it’ll be Alien: Paradise Lost. Which is very spooky, because it continues after the last one, where Elizabeth Shaw [Noomi Rapace] says, “I wanna go where they came from.” And you’ve got Michael Fassbender in two parts, so she’ll slowly put him back together. They will go to the world of the Engineer."

He elaborated slightly, saying: "That’s where they’re going to go. They will find out who would design such an awful bio-mechanoid creature, like a massive piece of bacteria."

Alien: Paradise Lost will arrive n theatres at some point in 2017 and will see Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender on the quest for answers surrounding the Engineers.

WB Not Done Making Batman Games

While Arkham Knight concluded the phenomenal Rocksteady video game franchise this year, it doesn't sound like Warner Bros. is finished making Batman video games.

While speaking with the PlayStation Blog, Ames Kirshen, the vice president of product development at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, touched on what the future held for The Dark Knight in the world of video games.  “Batman is one of the cornerstone IPs for Warner Bros. With the Arkham series, we were finally able to realize the full potential of the character.”

While neither he, nor WBIE, had anything to announce for the time being, Kirshen said that “the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman.”

WBIE says they want to continue making Batman video games that are true to the core of Bob Kane's timeless comic book crime fighter, while offering new and refreshing takes on him and his world.

"You have to understand and respect the core essence of the franchise," Kirshen said. "But you can't be a slave to every single aspect of its history or continuity in translating it for the gaming medium."

"More importantly, you have to have the talent, vision, and passion from the development teams to make great games and treat them as they would an original IP," he added. "We've been blessed at WBIE with studios and talent such as Rocksteady, NetherRealm, and TT Games."

Batman can most recently be seen in Lego Dimensions, which features several characters from the DC Comics Universe.

Early Look At First Gokin Shredder Released

Remember that awesome teaser image that First Gokin released back in June of more Third Party Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures?

If not, take a look here...

New Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clips Released

The Season 3 premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is upon us and now, Marvel Entertainment and ABC have released some new clips from the first episode.

The first clip from the new episode, entitled Laws of Nature, sees Quake explaining what it takes to be an Inhuman...

The second clip sees things getting a little tense between Lincoln and Mack as the group discusses the discovery of a new Inhuman...

And if that wasn't enough for you, take a look at Quake's new costume for the upcoming season! This was released a few weeks ago, but we were in the middle of a move, so some things did get away from us.

As can be seen in the image above, Quake's new costume features a pair of gauntlets which are specific to her earthquake powers.

And, according to costume designer Ann Foley, Quake isn't the only one getting an upgrade in the wardrobe department this season. “I think you’re definitely going to see a change in their costumes in Season 3,” she says. “At the end of season one with the fall of SHIELD, you see a shift in the costumes — we went a little darker. Then by the time we pick up with the team in Season 2, everyone had definitely grown up and you saw a shift in the way that they were dressing. Everyone just had to grow up. With the events at the end of Season 2 now, you’re going to see another shift, and the costumes will reflect a shift for everybody.”

Sounds like it's going to be an exciting season for all you Marvelites out there!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. kicks off its third season tomorrow!

New Info Released For Wonder Woman: Earth One

Wonder Woman will soon join the likes of Superman and Batman as the newest resident of Earth One in an all-new graphic novel from Grant Morrison and Yanick Paquette. This original tale will see Wonder Woman venturing to the outside world and being hunted by her fellow Amazons for breaking her people's oldest law.

Check out the official synopsis, and cover, for this exciting alternate earth tale!
From the masterful minds of Grant Morrison (FINAL CRISIS, THE MULTIVERSITY) and Yanick Paquette (SWAMP THING, BATMAN, INC.) comes the most provocative origin of Wonder Woman you’ve ever seen — a wholly unique retelling that still honors her origins.
For millennia, the Amazons of Paradise Island have created a thriving society away from the blight of man. One resident, however, is not satisfied with this secluded life — Diana, Princess of the Amazons, knows there is more in this world and wants to explore, only to be frustrated by her protective mother, Hippolyta. Diana finds her escape when Air Force pilot Steve Trevor, the first man she has ever seen, crashes onto their shores. With his life hanging in the balance, Diana ventures into the long forbidden world of men. The Amazons chase after her and bring her back to Paradise Island in chains to face trial for breaking their oldest law…staying separated from the world that wronged them.

Thought provoking yet reverent, thoroughly modern but still timeless, the power and courage of Paradise Island’s greatest champion — Wonder Woman — is introduced in this new addition to DC’s New York Times best selling Earth One original graphic novel series.

Look for Wonder Woman: Earth One to arrive in comic shops on April 6, 2016 and at other retailers on April 12, 2016.

Garrett Hedlund Says Tron 3 Isn't Totally Dead

Despite Disney announcing that Tron 3 was shelved earlier this summer, star Garrett Hedlund says plans for the third film in the series aren't completely dead.

“Ever since we did Legacy, we knew that to have another story follow it up, it had to be concrete and exciting,” Hedlund said to ComicBook.com. “Disney needed to have the right story to go forward. I think it was going to introduce some things that were as exciting as Legacy was and then some, though.”

Disney announced back in May that plans for a third Tron had been scrapped. Both Garrett Hedlund
and Olivia Wilde were set to return with Tron: Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinski back as director.

Even if the movie ends up back on Disney's film slate, don't expect it anytime soon. There was a 28-year gap between the first row movies, and Hedlund revealed a similar gap could happen again.

“I’ll have my young Flynn CGI face, who knows?” he said in reference to how the film handled original star Jeff Bridges aging between the films. “But they could do it anytime from now, and I would of course jump back in. Something like that could be quite fun, though!”

Well, be it five years, ten or even 28, we're still holding out hope that a third Tron eventually gets made.

More Alien: Paradise Lost Details Emerge

Yesterday, director Ridley Scott revealed that the title of the Prometheus sequel will actually be entitled Alien: Paradise Lost. And now, he's shed even more light on the upcoming film and what fans can expect from the next chapter of the franchise.

Speaking with Empire Online, Scott discussed the sudden name change for the sequel saying: “Years ago, I kept mulling over what Alien 2 could be. I was fiddling around with some ideas. I was always fascinated with why this thing [the xenomorph] would be made, by whom, and for what purpose? The planet it was on – and I was looking at the dark side of the moon – would be called Paradise. Paradise is a very ominous word...”

He then assured fans that the title change has not affected the story of the film formerly known as Prometheus 2: “In a way it is Prometheus 2. It’s exactly the same story. But it was always in the works to be called that [Alien: Paradise Lost]. Is Prometheus actually taking us off course from where I’m going, which is actually backing into the first Alien... I’ve even got connections with Ripley [in this], but I’m not telling you what.”

Connections to Ripley? Now that's what we like to hear!

So, what does this mean for Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5? Earlier rumors suggested the title change of Prometheus 2 would mean Blomkamp's movie would end up getting shelved, but Sir Ridley Scott has now put that talk to rest once and for all.

“I’m producing it,” he reiterated. “The design is for it to go out next, after this. This will go out first. It’s more associated with Ripley, it’s a completely different angle, it’s more of a sequel. I’m coming in from the back end.”

And what of the chances of seeing the Xenomorph in Alien: Paradise Lost, a creature Sir Ridley Scott admitted returning to didn't really excite him at one point? Well, it sounds as though he's changed his mind!

“I think I have to go again,” he said. “We will see who made it, and why. That’s what’s interesting.”

And finally, will fans be watching a movie where David will be a disembodied head the whole time? “It’s going to be better than that,” chuckled Scott. “It’s a very nice big idea I’ve got. It’s really great. You’re going to have to wait...”

And wait until 2017 we will.

Alien: Paradise Lost starts filming in February and stars Noomi Rapace an Michael Fassbender.
